Inhabits fast flowing streams and rivers, Can tolerate high levels of salinity, adults are almost entirely feeds on plants and algae also grazes on algae. Spawns in swift rivers.


Native to large rivers in the Pakistan and widely found in fast flowing rivers with in Indus River System.
